About the speakers:
Boris van Delden:
Boris van Delden is a highly experienced insolvency practitioner, culminating with his appointment as Partner at McDonald Vague in 2005. Boris thrives on the energy and vibrancy of McDonald Vague, but mostly enjoys maintaining close contact with his clients. In his twelve years with the team he has run a large number of liquidations, receiverships, turnaround management projects and business evaluations and appraisals.
Boris is a Chartered Accountant, and licenced Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) Accredited Insolvency Practitioner. He is also a member of special interest group RITANZ (Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association of New Zealand).
Iain joined McDonald Vague in 2001, became a consultant to the firm in 2004, and was appointed as a director in July 2010. He has over 20 years’ experience in business recovery and insolvency. Iain is a licenced RITANZ Insolvency Practitioner accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a member of NZCFI (The New Zealand Credit and Finance Institute).
Iain has developed extensive experience in technical liquidations and receiverships for companies in a wide variety of industries. He has conducted forensic investigations and has provided expert evidence in cases of suspected corporate fraud and in matrimonial proceedings. He also has considerable experience providing “work out” and recovery advice as alternatives to receivership/liquidation.
Dalwyn holds degrees in business and law, and started as a lawyer specialising in credit related litigation, before spending 15 years in the industrial sector. He has hands on experience owning, managing and advising companies in various business sectors.
Drawing from the above background, he started his career in insolvency management in 2011 and has managed a wide range of insolvency assignments across a variety of industries including manufacturing, property and construction, clothing and accessories wholesale and retail, wine making, hospitality, automotive electrical, and information technology.
