SUMMARY:Art in the Bar: 100×100 Art Show
DESCRIPTION:The much-loved community exhibition returns: every work 100 × 100 mm, every piece $100. A democratic display where emerging and established artists hang side by side, creating a vibrant wall of colour, ideas, and accessible art. Supported by the ArtsXL Charitable Trust.\nThis year also marks a special milestone, celebrating ten years since artist Mike Nettmann revived the 100×100 format at the Turner Centre. Originally founded in Kerikeri in the early 1990s by Cecilia and Rob Russell, the exhibition has become a much-anticipated highlight of the local arts calendar, known for its open, inclusive spirit and diverse range of artists.\nOpening EventsJoin us for two events celebrating this year’s exhibition:\nOpening NightThursday 2 April 2026 | 5:00 – 7:00 pm\nSecond Opening Event (Easter Monday)Monday 6 April 2026 | 2:00 – 6:00 pmFeaturing live jazz from Te Tai Tokerau trio Jazz Garden, led by pianist and vibraphonist John Bell with bassist Alan Thomas and special guest drummer Steve Cournane (Auckland).
