The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra returns with Masterworks, a stunning evening of orchestral brilliance conducted by James Judd, Music Director Emeritus of the NZSO. The programme features Haydn’s Symphony No. 100 Military, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 Pastoral — a beloved celebration of nature and harmony.
The concert also includes the Aotearoa premiere of Briar Prastiti’s The Garden, a vibrant new work commissioned through the NZSO/SOUNZ Tarling Trust.
From the elegance of the classical era to the emotion of contemporary voices, Masterworks showcases the full power and beauty of live orchestral music.

This show is spoken completely in Te Reō Māori
Performed entirely in te reo Māori, Ngā Reta is a powerful solo show about identity, whakapapa, and the pull of home. Urban Māori Mia wants nothing to do with her culture – until a box of letters arrives from Nan, revealing her mum’s journey through womanhood and shaking everything she thought she knew.
Twelve characters. One actor. Written and performed by award-winning Te Huamanuka Luiten-Apirana, Ngā Reta has toured the motu and returns this Matariki to the Turner Centre.

Andy’s credits include major productions like 1918, Purple Onion, and Shel We, featured at Measina, Pacific Dance, and Kia Mau Festivals.
